Our first team outing as Wreake& Soar Valley AC saw us competing at the Midlands Road Relay Championships. Taking teams in the U13, U15, U17 Boys and 4 teams for the U13 Girls.

A great day of racing in the sunshine and what a result. U13 girls coming in 1st and 2nd!! and the U13 boys grabbing 3rd place late on.  Stand out performance of the day was Hollie Gamble getting the fastest leg in the U13 girls race and receiving a handsome amount of Derby Runner vouchers for her efforts. Without a full team Jess Hazel and Rosie Weselby both ran the first leg of the U15’s and U17’s girls race, well done to them, a good experience for this kind of race even without a full team.

With the national road relays coming up on 4th October and being at the same venue hopefully we can get another great result there.
