It has been confirmed this weekend that the current County Standard times will remain in place for 2020.
The County Standards scheme is a fantastic way to keep you motivated throughout the year, as it covers a wide range of abilities and distances that many are running week in week out anyway. Perfect for anyone who is loving their running, but not interested in training for the longer half marathon or marathon distances!
In a nutshell, you run 5 different distances over the course of a calendar year to qualify. The distances need to be an officially measured course and the times are for the age you were on the actual race day.
You then submit your races & times to receive your County Stand for that year!
Hopefully by sharing this, some of you will consider entering a race or two over the Spring/Summer and begin working towards your own award.
You can find the times by age category here… http://lran.org.uk/county-standards
