The 95th County Cross Country Championships took place on Saturday 8th January at Burbage Common.

A fantastic turn out from Wreake and Soar Valley Athletics Club and some cracking performances.

Isabella Wrightam finished 2nd in the U17W’s race and also took team silver along with team mates Lyla Bryan and Cassandra Dodge.

In the U13G’s race Violet Rudkin, Luan Power and Sian Evans won team silver.

Archie Clarke came 3rd in the U13B race and also won team silver with Jake Tyrrell and Ewan McKittrick.

Fantastic to see Katie Parker back racing and a strong performance too claiming U20 Women’s silver!

In the Masters Women’s race, Laura Storer, Nicola McGlinchey and Claire Bryan won team gold!! The clubs first medal at Cross Country which we’re sure will be the first of many!!
